Garlic Jar - Ceramic Garlic Jar - Pottery Jar - Garlic Keeper - Kitchen Organization - Kitchen Canister - Storage Jar - Candy or Trinket Jar

$40.00

This ceramic garlic jar is perfect for storing garlic or shallots because it provides a dark, moisture-free environment. The carved geometric design on the sides of the ceramic garlic keeper allow air to circulate delaying sprouting.

In addition to keeping your kitchen organized, this canister can also be used as a candy or trinket jar or as a place to keep a potpourri mix. One of my customers places an electric tea light inside the canister when it's empty.

The jar is 4.75 inches tall to the top of lid, and 3.75 inches deep. The opening is about 3 inches in diameter.

I made this jar on the potter's wheel in my Virginia studio. Once the clay was dry enough to handle, I trimmed the jar and used a surgeon's scalpel to carefully carve the pattern of squares.

Made in Virginia.

Frequently Asked Questions

Custom and personalized orders

I will gladly make a custom order for you. Custom orders usually take 3 to 4 weeks. Depending on the time of year and where I am in the production cycle, orders may take up to 6 to 8 weeks. Personalized items that are not generic (e.g., Dad, Mama) require a 50 percent deposit. Payment for other custom orders is due at purchase.

Care instructions

If properly cared for stoneware can be enjoyed for a long time. Never place a dish on top of a burner or in a preheated (hot) oven. Instead, place room temperature dishes in a cold oven and gradually bring the heat up to the desired temperature. Dishes should be filled so food contacts all interior surfaces.

Teapots should be warmed with hot water before filling them with boiling water. The same is true for colanders: never pour boiling water directly into them.

Stoneware is microwave and dishwasher safe. However, please use care. Some items, such as berry bowls, might best be hand washed.

Gift wrapping and packaging

Because of the fragile nature of ceramics, I pack the items in several layers of bubble wrap before placing them in a box surrounded by biodegradable peanuts. In some cases, it is best to ship multiple items is separate boxes to prevent breakage.

I do not offer gift wrapping, but I can include a message to the gift recipient. The message will be printed in a script font in an appropriate blank card or the back of a Glynt Pottery postcard. Please let me know (in the message from buyer) if you are interested including a message with your gift.
